Springtime at Highbanks in Lewis Center

There's nothing better than a lovely spring day. I love that the air is warm and the sun is a welcome sight after a lot of gray days of winter (although Columbus gets a whole lot more sun in winter than Cleveland - I know that firsthand). Shannon and her son Leif - who has the manliest first, middle, and last name ever! - were so happy to get outside and explore Lewis Center with me.

Leif was adorable...he pointed and said "bugs" a lot. Here I thought with a name like his he'd be really into trees, but he's more of an insect fan. Shannon loved how these sweet Mommy & Me photos turned out.

Highbanks is one of my favorite metro parks. It's HUGE and has so many different areas to explore. There is shade, sun, and gorgeous greenery in spring. Inside the visitor's nature center there is a children's library and really fun treehouse, along with coloring books and crayons and lots of fun things to explore.
